Workify is a people management platform that enhances company culture by giving employees a voice. Workify makes it easy for businesses to get feedback from their employees, scratching past the surface to uncover the real trends driving engagement.

We believe that your business is your culture. It’s what makes you stand out from the competition, what attracts and retains your best talent and what drives your people to deliver their best for you every day.

Our culture model was developed from our research into the best academic thinking around culture and engagement, and our experience of working with large and small companies throughout the United States and abroad. We found some striking similarities across all of our source material which we brought together into a single straightforward model.  Whether your organization is large or small, multinational or a start-up, we built our culture model with flexibility in mind.

As we’ll explore further below, engagement is getting a lot of attention these days, but it is only one part of company culture. There are many important, traditional aspects of organizational culture (leadership, management, communication and reward), but we believe that engagement begins at the employee level. As in, how your people are thinking, feeling and most importantly, acting at the office.

Workify Culture Model

At Workify, we believe that engagement starts from the inside. Engagement begins with how your employees are feeling and behaving, and the heart of our culture model focuses on just that. eNPS (employee Net Promoter Score) helps you identify how satisfied your employees are and how willing they are to recommend your culture and workplace to others.

While eNPS is a great proxy for overall engagement, we believe there are four fundamental intrinsic motivators that identify an engaged and productive employee.  We call these fundamental elements the Four Cs:

  1. An individual’s commitment to stay and develop with the organization
  2. The connection that individual feels towards the organization’s mission and values.
  3. The contribution an individual is motivated to make to the company’s success
  4. The impetus for an individual to challenge themselves and the business to improve

The Structure of Engagement

Just like any organization, there needs to be structure. We put a lot of thought into the design of our culture model. Every indicator is placed in a specific position for a reason: the foundation of our Four C’s allows for our indicators to be organized like a web — every part of the web connected in some way. The inner-ring of our culture model relates to intrinsic motivators, whereas the indicators on the outer-ring relates to extrinsic motivators of engagement company-wide.

All-in-all, our culture model provideds a simple way of better understanding culture and employee engagement within your company.
